Evening French Course
Our school offers different courses: French courses in groups or private lessons, general French or French on objectives; super intensive, intensive or extensive formulas. It’s up to you to choose what suits you best!
Our general French evening classes allow learners to develop all their skills (pragmatic, linguistic and socio-cultural) in French through the four language activities defined by the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
After an initial placement test, learners are placed in a class group corresponding to their level (from absolute beginner to very advanced). The courses aim to develop skills that can be used in personal life (e.g. ordering a menu in a restaurant) as well as in professional life (e.g. writing a cover letter for a job search).
Each course is directed towards the achievement of an objective, a task that meets the needs of the learner in his work and personal life. In these courses, the student progresses in interaction with his peers, under the guidance of the teacher, and is most often supported by a textbook and a workbook. The class group is an advantage for learning since it allows the student to directly inscribe what is being worked on in a communicative and social space. Depending on the level assessed during the initial placement test, the learner will be placed in a group class and will do part of the A1, A2, B1, B2 or C1 program.
General French courses are available in an extensive formula, i.e. 16 hours per month. Our general French courses are offered in 4-week sessions throughout the year. You can therefore choose the period that suits you best.
The format of our evening courses is ideal for people who want to learn or improve their French in the evening.
These courses take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, with 4 hours of general French classes per week over a 4-week period.
The teacher uses a communicative pedagogy and the action approach and adapts the rhythm, the content and the progression to the needs of the learners. He/she evaluates them at the beginning of the session and takes note of their objectives, preferences and tastes in order to establish a program and a progression.
Registrations are validated after a placement test.
Registration fees of 60€ are mandatory and valid for a period of 1 year. If you have already paid these fees for the current school year, please contact AFSE.
